Vzw 'de Rand' manages seven community centres, 6 of which have a theatre hall.
Their core business is to support their local associations.
On top of this they also offer a wide range of music, theatre, film and educational activities.
In order to meet their climate objectives, these centres have invested in many measures in the recent years, including building facade insulation, roof insulation, solar panels, etc.
But on lighting, and lighting power consumption especially, there was still a lot that could been improved.
So they started looking at various modern theatre lighting solutions to replace their old lighting infrastructure.
After having thoroughly tested and evaluated diferrent brands on price, performance, support, ... they concluded that Briteq was the way to go.
In a first phase, it was decided to replace the conventional 2kW fresnel PCs in the hall bridges with 36 of our Briteq BT-THEATRE 400TW.
These 36 pieces are now spread over their 6 theatre halls.
This investment brings many advantages. Expensive conventional dimmer packs are now a thing of the past and the power consumption is almost 10 times lower compared to the original installation.
In addition, the “Tunable White” function and motorized zoom ensure a continuous adjustment of the light beams and their color temperature.
